NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE BLAST-HOLE DRILLING ROCKS WITH ELASTIC-PLASTIC MODEL
The paper presents a numerical simulation of the blast-hole drilling rocks with elastic-plastic model based on the finite element method. This provides an imitation rock failure in view of its mechanical properties and the dynamic parameters of the chipping process, which allows to determine the thrust and torque of drilling by perfectly sharp bit, to the values of variables that add incremental caused by blunt bit defined by a known simple empirical dependences. Examples of the calculation for the three types of cutters, indicating the adequacy of the proposed method and the possibility of its application to solve engineering problems were presented.
