IMPROVEMENT OF MINING TECHNOLOGY FOR LARGE SANDWICH BROWN COAL FIELDS

The article gives the review and analysis of mining processes at Borodinsky open pit mine. Features of potential block-wise mining of Borodinsky brown coal field are discussed. The author specifies further improvement of the proposed method and offers an alternative mining technique for thin beds and partings using the non-explosive technology and heading machines.
