FEATURES JOINT OPERATION FACE EQUIPMENT AND CONVEYOR BELTS

The article analyzes the feasibility of an increase in face output per shift with allowance for operational parameters of heading machines and belt conveyors. It is as a rule required increasing a shift output after long downtime of the fully mechanized longwall equipment and conveyor line. Implementation of a production schedule is out on a limb in this case. The analysis is performed in terms of the operational parameters used in selecting belt conveyors based on the procedure from Underground Transport Planning Framework for New and Operating Coal Mines. The comparison of two optional scenarios of increase in a shift output with the basic variant represented by the project shift output shows that there is a limit. Using efficiency factor of a belt conveyor (with respect to intake capacity and operating load), it is possible to find the limit increase in the face output per shift. Thus, when putting into operation a fully mechanized longwall and a conveyor line, both the project and maximum shift load per face should be assigned based on technical capabilities of joint operation of longwall equipment and conveyors. Effects of gas factor limiting the increase in the face output per shift is beyond the scope of this article.
