ASSESSMENT OF RESERVOIR DEFORMATION IMPACT ON WELL DELIVERABILITY COEFFICIENT IN NORTHERN URTABULAK OIL FIELD

It is shown that net overburden pressure grows due to reduction in reservoir pressure during hydrocarbon extraction.
Using the case study of processing of hydrodynamic research data obtained in wells of Northern Urtabulak oil field composed of porous jointed limestone as an example, the author has found that due to wide lithological diversity of limestone on pay horizons, the reduced well deliverability coefficient varies in a wide range from 0.0883 to 0.04927 1/MPa. It is proved by the research findings that the drop of the reservoir pressure below the shut-in pressure may end with a considerable lowering of well deliverability due to the reservoir deformation. The deformation of reservoirs with high permeability and porosity may reduce well deliverability coefficient more than 1.7 times. Aimed to recover well deliverability, it is recommended to increase bottom-hole pressure to be higher than shut-in pressure.
