METHOD OF URANIUM RECOVERY FROM DILUTE SOLUTIONS AND ENVIROMENTAL WATERS

Paper represents results of ion exchangers’ sorption properties research at their using for uranium sorption from the uranium-containing test solution imitated sea water.
As uranium-containing solution aquatic solution of ammonium uranyl tricarbonate (NH4)4[UO2(CO3)3] with base material content 96,6 per cent were used.
In consequence of carried out research method of uranium sorption from dilute solutions and environmental waters by using of shungite-containing sorbent is worked out. The sorbent produced by using of Koksu deposite’s shungite (Almaty region). Production of shungite-containing sorbent includes chemical activation of natural shungite and zinc hydroxide’s precipitation on its surface. As the result of uranium sorption from sea water imitate by means of shungite-containing sorbent the sorbent rich by uranium containing 6,35 per cent of uranium were obtained.
