ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC SUBSTANTIATION OF THE POSSIBILITY TO REDUCE THE LOAD ON THE NATURE ENVIRONMENT FROM OPEN PIT TRANSPORT

Directions of reduction of harmful emissions of open pit transport machines are considered in the article. Dump trucks, which are the main form of transport of deep open pits, at the present time, also the main pollutant of the environment. Therefore, options of transport machines having advantages of dump trucks, but are not strong pollutants of the natural environment are considered in the article. These are dump trucks with increased capacity, diesel -electric trucks and electric trucks of various modifications. Data about the magnitudes of harmful emissions into the atmosphere of dump trucks, diesel -electric trucks and electric trucks are given in the article. It is shown that the sum of concentrations of harmful emissions to their maximum permissible values, as for the dump trucks, so and for diesel – electric trucks and electric trucks increases with increase of open pit depth.
It is shown that in the strongly varying modern market conditions economic data of the previous periods are little informative.
Therefore, the evaluation of the energy efficiency of open pit transport machines, characterized by high specific energy consumption acquires special urgency.
The value of specific energy costs for lifting 1 ton of rock mass from the open pit is adopted as a criterion for assessment the energy efficiency of transport machines. The energy efficiency of different types of transport machines is given in the article. It is shown that the use of diesel – electric trucks can give economic effect only when climbing slopes cоrresponding to diesel – electric trucks and high degree of electrification of the track. It is approved, that only application of the combined dump-trucks-conveyor transport (cyclic-flow technology) can give environmental and economic effect.
