The process of running mining facilities includes planning and organizational events along with the personnel motivation and operational control. The article pays a special attention to the control, which is determined not only as one of the managing functions but also as a system that functions on all the levels of production. The article educes the creteria for control effectiveness and the interrelations between control, planning, organization, regulation, stocktaking, and analysis.
