PROSPECTS FOR FLOTATION IN PROCESSING OF ENVIRONMENTALLY FRAGILE OLD COPPER SMELTING SLAG

The article touches the problem of recycling the old copper slag. An estimate for the interaction of finely ground slag «slag sand» with water was made. The impact of pH on the transfer of environmentally harmful components of the slag into the aqueous phase is studied. The results of flotation of the slag in a mixture of acid mine water and circulating factory water are given. The economic assessment of the proposed solutions is given.
