SUPPORT OF MINING WORKINGS IN SALIFEROUS ROCKS

The paper provides the results of complex survey on permanent workings condition of the mines of Verkhnekamskoye potash salt deposit. Five types of mining workings are specified which have lost stable (functional) condition. Influence of massif angularity on stable condition of mining workings has been studied. It has been established that adjacent affecting workings increase velocity of vertical convergence of border rocks, which results in considerable deformation of the workings walls and roof accompanied by rock falls. Renovation methods of the workings of different purpose are specified. Together with traditional expansion anchors type КАС length up to 1.7 m the base of renovation methods of permanent workings of Verkhnekamskoye potash salt deposit is a use of constituent anchors type КРА-16 increased length (up to 7.0 m) with crown trees, as well as frame lining with adjustable tube metal elements and/or friction props. Testing of tube elements has been performed on press equipment. Geomechanical feasibility of efficiency of the increased length anchors and tube adjustable elements for renovation of mining workings in saliferous rocks has been carried out. The base of renovation methods of mine shafts and their junctions with approach workings is a use of adjustable expanded polystyrene layer. Testing of expanded polystyrene samples of two brands has been performed on press equipment. Feasibility of efficiency of expanded polystyrene as adjustable layer of concrete lining of mine shafts and their junctions with approach workings has been carried out. It has been established that expanded polystyrene can be used as practically perfect material for adjustable layer in combined support of shafts and adjacent workings driven in saliferous rocks.
