STRUCTURAL FEATURES OF THE TRIASSIC-JURASSIC NICKEL-BEARING WEATHERING CRUSTS OF ULTRABASIC ROCKS IN THE NORTH URAL (SEROV AREA)

On the basis of detailed studying of share materials, geological maps and sections (six ore-bearing the sites: № 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8) structure features are revealed. It is shown that on morphological features weathering crusts of Serov area divided on vulgar, linear and mixed types. The surface of weathering crust is characterized by the minimum absolute marks in comparison with the supergene nickel deposits in the Urals. It is specified that weathering crust of Serov area consists of two types – ancient residual crust (site № 6) and transformed crust where in turn transformed crust is subdivided into two subtypes – infiltration and metasomatic crust; crust formed as a result of further chemical decomposition and leaching weathering products of primary crusts (sites №№ 2, 3, 4, 7, 8). Universal distribution of dykes of vein rocks as the positive factor promoting fast accumulation of industrial concentration of nickel.
