STUDY OF LOPARITE SLUDGE CONCENTRATING BY FLOTATION

The authors have studied the possibility of flotation additional recovery of tantalum and niobium products from loparite sludge. The Nb2O5 content therein was 0.17%. A range of reagents collectors and depressants was tested for flotation. Loparite product was obtainedwhich contained 2.11% Nb2O5, concentration rate of the useful component being 12. The completing of flotation loparite product through electromagnetic separation has allowed the increase of the Nb2O5 content almost in twice. The studies performed have resulted in recovery of loparite concentrate with 4.5% Nb2O5 content and dump tailings with 0.05% content.
