PRECIOUS MINERAL RESOURCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN
The main precious metals in Tajikistan are gold and silver. Gold reserves amount to 442 tons of metal, which are defined in 24 indigenous, 22 placer and complex deposits of 6: 15 indigenous, 21 5 placer and complex deposits are in the inventory balance of the region. To increase gold reserves in Tajikistan are required to conduct a detailed exploration of the deposits and occurrences. Industrial enterprises of the Republic in 2016, according to preliminary data of the growth of 170,8 % of them 24.3 % accounted for by mining, which accounted for 6.8% of the GDP of the Republic. The number of employees in the mining industry to 2016 amounted to 9195 pers., average salary – 2425 somoni or 341 doll.
