MINING WITH ROOM AND PILLARS SET IN STAGGERED FASHION AT A ROCKBURST-HAZARDOUS DEPOSIT

The authors give justification of rockburst-hazardous ore body mining with room-and-pillar method with staggering of rooms and pillars at Sheregesh deposit. The stress–strain state of rock mass under room-and-pillar mining is estimated, and the calculation model is proposed. The article reports the stress–strain state estimation results with the delineation of concentration zones of stresses and inelastic strains. The sequence of ore extraction from stopes and pillars is determined. It is found that at the given ore reserves and parameters of an extraction block, first mining volume ranges between 9.6 and 24.1 m3/1000 t, ore loss fluctuates from 5 to 13% and ore dilution varies from 8 to 22%.
