In the conditions of tough competition, many mining enterprises are acutely concerned with the problem of increasing labor productivity and efficiency of use. One of the ways to solve this problem is to increase the level of automation of production through the introduction of systems built on a modern element base, taking into account the latest advances in information technology. The article deals with the use of the equipment of a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a frequency converter (inverter) for monitoring and automatic control of the speed of the main conveyor line in an underground mine.
