IN-SITU ESTIMATION OF DRIVE LOADS IN URAL HEADING-AND-WINNING MACHINES

The currentness of development and introduction of automated on-board recording systems to monitor operation of heading and winning machines is justified. The advantages and disadvantages of the available automated on-board recording systems are analyzed in terms of operation of heading-and-winning machines in potash mines.

The method of the machine performance monitoring is proposed, and the framework of a portable measurement and computation system for the estimation of drive loads in Ural heading-and-winning machines is substantiated. The article reports the experimental test data on the value and nature of variation in drive loads during in-situ operation of Ural-20R machine obtained using portable measurement and computation system VATUR.

The measurements were taken in dead-face operation and in bossing mode of the machine. It is experimentally proved that in the dead-face operation of Ural-20R machine, the highest load is applied to drives of tools that cut rock mass at the floor and load potassium ore on conveyor.

In the bossing mode of Ural-20R heading-and-winning machine, dynamic loads most considerably grow on drives of relative and translational motion of planetary cutting disks. It is proved that the current objective control facilities fail to ensure rational mode operation of Ural-20R heading-and-winning machines.

The developed procedure for the analysis of the machine performance records ensures enhanced efficiency of mechanized equipment systems by determining quantitative characteristics of organization of productive and non-productive processes in potassium ore mine.
