The increase in the pressure P and temperature t of air used as a dehydrating agent enhances efficiency of drying of rocks. The most convenient value for the appraisal of drying efficiency is the conditional specific wet air enthalpy Icond by Ramzin, on the basis of which a set of diagrams were developed for a few air heat processes. On the other hand, none of the diagrams is applicable for all P and t which can take place in the process of rock drying, and, moreover, sometimes the diagrams yield insufficient accuracy for actual practice. In the course of processing of experimental data on thermodynamic properties of water and water steam, interrelationship has been found between wet air P and t and water and steam characteristics forming the value of Icond.

The revealed interrelationship makes a framework of the proposed procedure for engineering calculation of Icond for any P and t of air during drying of rocks.
