INTERPOLATION ERROR ESTIMATION CONSIDERING GEOLOGICAL SPACE HETEROGENEITY

The new integrated approach to multi-dimensional geometrization of geologic indexes consists in spatial modeling within the limits of geologically homogeneous areas preliminary delineated in a coal field with regard to statistical interaction of geological factors. Kriging variance is reduced to elements conditioned by variation of an index under geometrization, variability of side rock properties in profile and heterogeneity of geological space. The proposed procedure ensures minimal interpolation error in case of coal bed and side rock characteristics during mine planning, which improves reliability of decision-making. In terms of interpolation of coal bed thickness values in Eastern Donbass fields (mines Sadkinskaya, Rostovskaya, Vostochnaya), the results of the proposed approach application prove its efficiency and advantage over traditional interpolation techniques which are in use in the practice of geometrization.
