CONCEPT OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE SCIENCE OF QUALIMETRY OF SUBSOIL

Qualimetry of subsoil as a field of the mining science dealing with evaluation of mineral quality in subsoil management was set in the late 1900s. The science of qualimetry of subsoil is acknowledged in Russia and abroad (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Germany, China, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kirgizia and Syria) as judged by research findings, reports delivered at international symposium and surveying congresses, invited lecturing and grants obtained by students and postgraduates at the Centers for Youth and Technology at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy in Moscow, Novocherkassk and in Saint-Petersburg. The article presents the theory, research trends and objectives, the generalized experience of research engineering, the review of foreign and domestic software products over the period from the 1980s up till now, the modern structured approaches to the completeness and quality control in mineral mining based on the accumulated methodical experience on determination of loss and dilution in development of hard mineral deposits, placers and reservoirs, the strategic trends in development of the subsoil qualimetry science and the basic provisions on the national control over efficient use and protection of mineral wealth.
