MODERN TRENDS AND APPLICATION MODELS IN E-LEARNING AND REMOTE TRAINING IN THE FRAMEWORK OF HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The article addresses arrangement and application of electronic education systems and remote technologies of learning in the framework of higher education programs, including relevant legal documents, basic requirements for the results and content of open online-courses and check tests, other essential deliverables, etc. The applicability of the online-courses as an efficient tool of learning and reaching certain objectives of higher education is discussed. These objectives can be expansion of educational options offered to students by universities, higher degree of personalization in training, decrease in the communication stress on students, higher flexibility of planning and implementing a learning process, improved promotion of self-education, more efficient utilization of teaching assets and saving of material and technical resources, improvement of quality of teaching owing to effective use of online training experience gained by the reputed international and Russian experts and specialists, as well as through independent control of knowledge acquired by each student, etc. Efficiency of online-courses is assessed in terms of the number of students, both from the viewpoint of reduction in cost of implementation of an educational program or module, including expenditures connected with the formation of infrastructure for self-education and with the invitation of professional tutors, and from the standpoint of recovery of money invested in the online-courses.
