ENHANCING GEOPOTENTIAL OF PLACER DEPOSITS

Geopotential of placers can be enhanced by implementing innovative trends in organizational activities, as well as by engineering improvement of methods of taking account of useful mineral loss during mining, substantiation of limits for extraction of marginal reserves upon condition of lost-free useful mineral extraction and validity of modeling spatial distribution of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of useful minerals in natural placers and mining waste. Improvement of regulatory documents for evaluation of completeness of hard mineral extraction with the common accounting treatment of mineral flows and loss allows registering dormant mineral reserves at the national level, which will ensure sound subsoil management and growth of tax base. Earlier reserved pillars can be extracted later on while mining systems and technologies are advanced, mineral prices are changed and other factors arise. It has been found that equations composed of factors and functions of nonlinear regression with selfdefining terms are applicable to the description of geological position of a productive stratum and distribution of qualitative characteristics of useful components in the geospace of a placer deposit. Increment of geopotential of a placer is achieved by mining productive marginal reserves (overlying “peat”, bedrock bottom, wall rocks) within the limits of isosurfaces of contents ensuring loss-free extraction of useful components.
