Guidelines for evaluation of reproductive performance reliability of longwall front

Reproductive performance of longwall front in coal mines is considered with regard to the reliability criterion. Philosophy of dynamic reservation of longwall front productivity is discussed, and the recommendations are given to improve reliability of this process. The basic assumption is the obligatory reliable and trustworthy prediction of longwall time in extrac tion panels and longwall front preparation time with a view to improving efficient reproductive performance of longwall fronts. The preparatory work and longwalling are considered as stochastic processes while the dynamic time reserve and reliable reproductive performance of longwall front—as indices to be economically justified. Poor preparation results in coal loss in reproductive performance of longwall faces. Optimization of reliable dynamic reservation of this process involves calculation of a sound ratio between the longwall operations and preparatory works (reserve of longwall front preparation). The dynamic reserve of longwall front preparation is the optimized ratio of times of preparatory work and longwalling, which is required for economically justified scheduling of mining.
