Hydrometallurgical test data of oxidized gold ore from the North East site of the Delmachik deposit

The article addresses processability of gold ore from the North East site of the Delmachik deposit. The laboratory hydrometallurgical test data of the ore are presented, including the experimental data of direct cyanide leaching and adsorption cyanide leaching at different milling coarseness, sodium cyanide concentration and process duration, cyanide concentration and lime consumption. The grain size composition of oxidized ore leaching waste and gold recovery per size grades are studied. Assaying of ore leaching cakes as well as the experimental results of oxidized gold ore leaching tests by modern physicochemical methods such as scanning electron spectroscopy, X-ray phase analysis and percolation leaching are presented. The listed methods made it possible to analyze chemistry and mineralogy of initial ore and processing products, as well as to determine the process flow mode parameters toward the maximum recovery of noble metal. The leaching process dynamics and reagent consumption are examined. The gold recovery and process duration curves are plotted. The optimized gold leaching parameters are determined and tested on laboratory and semi-commercial scale. The studies prove feasibility of an efficient technology for hydrometallurgical processing of gold ore.
