ISSUES OF ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERVISION EFFICIENCY (IN TERMS THE REPUBLIC OF KALMYKIA)
The research of the current state of supervision and control of the environment in the Republic of Kalmykia is conducted. It is specified that in the Republic the government and the public pay much attention to questions of environmental protection. The types of the state supervision performed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Kalmykia and costs for their implementation are given. It is noted that in case of an efficiency evaluation of ecological supervision it is necessary to pass from the traditional methods connected with identification of the greatest possible number of violations by conducting mass checks to assessment taking into account risk – the oriented activities that corresponds to current world trends.
