Excavator boom load study dragline

The relevance of the work is due to the need of design departments involved in the design of dragline excavators in methods that allow justifying design parameters in terms of reliability, and at the same time leading to weight reduction. Purpose of the work: development of a methodology for calculating the strength and calculating the loads on the elements of the boom during the transportation of the bucket. The boom is affected by its own gravity, the force on the head blocks from the lifting rope, acting in a vertical plane. Transportation of the bucket from the end point of digging to the point of unloading occurs with the simultaneous rotation of the platform, while along with the forces of gravity, the boom is affected by centrifugal and inertial forces acting in horizontal planes. Research methodology: mathematical modeling of the workflow. The studies were carried out for the boom ESH-10.70, designed by the design department of the Joint Stock Company “EKGService”, Chelyabinsk. Results. For a dragline excavator, a mathematical model has been developed for calculating forces during bucket transportation, an algorithm and a program in an algorithmic language that allow determining forces in the elements of working equipment. The created mathematical model is intended for use in the calculation of stresses in the elements of the boom. The formulas for calculating the loads on the boom, the algorithm, the calculation results for the excavator are given.
