APPLICATION OF «MINECLIMATE» PACKAGE FOR ESTIMATING INFLUENCE OF SOME PARAMETERS ON MOISTURE CONDENSATION PROCESS IN A POTASH MINE

Influence of various parameters on amount of the moisture which is dropping out in potash mine and the condensation zone size is considered. Research is executed with the help of the research application program package “MineClimate” developed by authors. Theoretical framework of the package “MineClimate” is represented. The solution of the hydrodynamic problem is based on use of the formula of velocity distribution which is universal for smooth-pipe, quadratic and transitional regimes of turbulent air flow in mine working. For the analysis of heat and a mass transfer processes in vapor-air mixture flow Lyon’s solution is applicated. The method of Green’s functions in combination with Laplace’s transformation is used for solving the problem of heat conductivity in rocks. Calculation of a ventilation network is fulfilled by means of the combination of the finite element method and the laminar solutions method offered by authors. The package “MineClimate” allows to determine distribution of airflows in a ventilation network, microclimate parameters, amount of the condensed water and its distribution at the network in arbitrary instant. Results of research showed that the following quantities have the most essential influence on the condensation process: the mass flow rate, the average annual temperature of atmospheric air, the mining depth, the heat flow rate from the Earth’s core, hygroscopicity of rocks. The cross section area of workings and degree of the network branching influence on the condensation in a less degree. Research allowed estimating the influence of each parameter and possibility of its use for controlling the condensation process.
