Underground mine design automation based on the typification of mine layout schemes

The development of digital technologies in mining is accompanied by the active implementation of digital modelling of mining objects and processes, implemented by means of mining and geological information systems (GIS). Today, one of the most demanded functionalities of GIS is planning of underground mining works, which requires a whole set of mine workings models, the number of which can be several thousands. In this case, universal solutions which automate creation of a set of mine workings models in domestic GIS do not exist. The authors have developed algorithms and software on the platform GIS MINEFRAME, allowing to automate the operation of creating a large number of models of mine workings on the basis of templates of typical configurations. A distinctive feature of the proposed solution is the implementation of different types of links established between individual workings. This allows to adapt each template or its group according to specific mining-geological and miningtechnical conditions of the considered mine-field's fragment, without changing the structure of the initial template's scheme and without carrying out the labor-consuming manual editing of each mine. An additional advantage of the new software is the automatic creation of mine workings models on the basis of mine workings patterns for development systems with thin declining seams. The proposed solution allows to reduce labour costs on operations related to designing and modelling of mine workings in the digital model of the mining enterprise.
