Experimental testing of modifying reagents for activation of anionic collector in froth flotation of diamond-bearing materials with closed-loop water reuse

The implemented experimental testing of modifying reagents in froth flotation of diamond-bearing materials with closed-loop water reuse proved applicability of the modifiers for anionic collector activation and confirmed expediency of full-scale tests with introduction of the tested modifiers in the current process flow sheet of processing plant no. 14 at the Aikhal GOK. Within the accomplished test, the alternate assaying data defined the expected efficiency of the test reagents in terms of the increased recovery of diamonds in concentrate: disperser OP-4A–41–50% as compared with the reference value of 25–34%; antiscalant NTF-100–50–100% as compared with the reference value of 28.6–28.1%; antiscalant AQUA-IS-3–78.1% as compared with the reference value of 54.3%; joint disperser and antiscalant application–59.5% as compared with the reference value of 22.8%. From the data of the analysis and processing of the obtained results, the recommended guidelines are developed for the full-scale testing of modifying reagents in froth flotation of diamond-bearing materials at processing plant no. 14 of the Aikhal GOK, ALROSA.
