Efficiency of conveyors in mining and transport systems in mines

The current stage of open-pit mining development is characterized by the deepening of operations, which requires addressing complex challenges in transportation systems and enhancing the efficiency of conveyor belts. This article explores the operation of conveyor beltsin mining facilities, compares various electrical drive systems, examines the impact of inclination on conveyor efficiency, and considers factors related to energy consumption, design techniques, and control of electrical drives. The article analyzes the effects of resistance distribution, the relationship between belt speed and slope, power requirements and gravity, and calculates the energy consumed by the conveyor system under different traction forces.
