Józef Dubínski
Professor, Corresponding Member of the Poland Academy of Sciences. Graduated from the Faculty of Exploration Geology, AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, as a specialist in Applied Geophysics (1969).
Began working at the Central Mining Institute in Katowice, at the Department on Rockbursts (Laboratory of Mine Seismology); Deputy Director of the Institute for Science and Research (1991–2001), Executive Director of the Institute since 2001. The most significant publications of Prof. Józef Dubínski include more than 300 papers, studies and monographs in journals and at pubslihing companies in Poland and abroad. Prof. Józef Dubínski is a leader of scientific school founded by his followers. Prof. Józef Dubínski is widely recognized specialist in mineral mining both in Poland and in foreign countries. Prof. Józef Dubínski was bestowed the rank of the Doctor of Honor at the National Mining University of Ukraine in 2010 and at the AGH University of Science and Technology in 2012. Since 2004 Prof. Józef Dubínski is the Chairman of the World Mining Congress.
